"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" – Jeremiah 29
Plans—we write them. God rights them!
Out best-laid plans run into unforeseen challenges and obstacles from time to time. Even with the finest minds, mistakes can be made. There is no such thing as a fool-proof plan.
But, who of us would worry, knowing that an expert had his hand on the wheel of your life? Would we try to wrestle it away like a child demanding his or her own way, even though it might lead to destruction? Or would we welcome it, feel the wind blow through our hair, and enjoy the ride knowing we're in good hands?
God loves it when we trust him—when we lean back and enjoy the ride. He loves it when we write our plans prayerfully, but allow him to right our plans and lead us to the blessings he has in store for us.
