By "society changing" I mean a technology that nearly every person has and has drastically changed people's lives and society. Examples are computers and internet in the 90s and smartphones in the beginning of the 2010s. VR for example, I do not consider a society changing technology because most people do not use it. I also do not consider simple improvements to old technology, like better cameras or faster processors to be society changing.
